Clinical Sexology Training for Professionals
Faculty: Dr. Patti Britton

 

Dr. Patti Britton leads a series of 12 monthly trainings in Clinical Sexology. This remarkable opportunity is open to professionals in the sexology, psychotherapy and mental health fields who are interested in specific advanced training in clinical sexology practice and intervention.

 

Courses can be taken as a Single Module training or as a 12-Month Series for Certification in Clinical Sexology by The Institute for Sexual Health. 3.5CE's can be earned per module or 42CE's total for all 12 modules.

Cost: $150 per Module or $ 1500 for 12-Month Course and Certificate

Dates of Modules: The third Saturday of every month, starting September 18th
Time: 1pm – 4:30pm

Clinical Sexology Course Models

Utilization of the MEBES© model (Britton’s unique integrative, holistic model for assessment and treatment of sexual concerns) along with the traditional PLISSIT model are used as the foundation for all clinical sexology courses. This basic courses in clinical sexology will address the following: Traditional sex therapy techniques, such as sensate focus, spirituality-based sexual treatments, cognitive-behavioral training, humanistic psychological styles, along with demonstrations using media and real cases.

Dr. Patti Britton, Sex Coach in private practice and Faculty in the Sexological Training Program at the Institute for Sexual Health. Dr. Patti is nationally-board certified as a Clinical Sexologist, Sexuality Educator, ABS Diplomate, Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Sexologists, and the American College of Sexologists; she is also Assistant Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology/ Westwood Campus where she leads the California-state-approved sexuality certificate concentration for doctoral students in the Treatment of Sexual Disorders.
