Psychosexual Evaluations
|
The Institute for Sexual Health offers comprehensive psychosexual evaluation and assessment. We evaluate and offer return to practice and fitness for duty recommendations for professionals who are faced with allegations regarding boundary violations and professional sexual misconduct. The Institute provides psychological testing and psychosexual evaluation for governing boards requiring evaluation, diagnostic clarity, recommendations for treatment and guidance for intervening responsibly.
Our program utilizes a team of doctoral level professionals trained in the field of sexual offending, professional boundary violations and professional sexual misconduct, sexual pathology, compulsive sexual behavior, paraphilias as well as psychosexual testing, assessment and evaluation procedures. Our team-approach of trained, licensed professionals best removes tester bias and provides for optimal evaluation and recommendations.

The Institute uses empirically based testing protocols, including evaluation of psychological functioning, sexual pathology and disorders evaluation, personality functioning, and psycho-physiological instruments when indicated. Testing typically includes the following testing battery:

Sex Offender Risk Assessment
The Institute also provides sex offender-specific risk assessment evaluations. Clients are typically referred by the court or by their attorney who need an assessment of risk for recidivism for a sexual offense. Typical battery for risk assessment includes:

Psychological Testing and Sexuality and Gender Evaluations
The Institute for Sexual Health also provides psychological testing that can assist in clarifying a diagnosis for mental health concerns as well as clarify specific sexual and gender related concerns and questions. This includes personality, cognitive and sexuality testing by licensed psychologists. The institute utilizes a team approach in which evaluations are peer-reviewed for optimal accuracy and recommendations.
